RemarksThe Internet class is the only singleton in the definition file for the Persistate system itself. Conceptually, it is the root object of Persistate's internet wide distributed persistent tree, in which every Persistate Domain exists.
Of course, this single tree is only conceptual. In practice, the Internet class contains a Domains collection which will contain a subset of existing Domains. The minimum size of this subset is one - comprising of only the local domain. Domains other than the local one are called foreign domains. The local domain is also available through the LocalDomain property.
As of April 2011, foreign domains are not handled in Persistate. Much of the necessary infrastructure is in place, but it is work in progress.
You can access the singleton Internet object through the static InternetSingleton property. You can also access it by the Internet property generated in every The class.
